National Collection Week: November 15-22, 2010!

Welcome to Columbus Ohio!

Operation Christmas Child brings joy and hope to children living in desperate situations around the world through gift-filled shoeboxes and the gospel of Jesus Christ. This ministry of Samaritan's Purse provides an opportunity for people of ALL ages to be involved in a world-wide mission that focuses on the true meaning of Christmas: God's love. In 2009, Operation Christmas Child collected approximately 8 million shoeboxes for children in over 100 countries.

The Columbus Area Team is an organized group of volunteers who mobilize and assist individuals, churches, schools, and groups to become actively involved in fulfilling the Great Commission through Operation Christmas Child. The OCC-Columbus Area Team was able to coordinate the collection of 34,010 Shoeboxes in our six county area in 2009 and we are hoping to do even more in 2010.

Our volunteers are organized into several different teams: Prayer Team, Church Relations Team, Community Relations Team, Media Relations Team, and the Collection Network.  We are currently building all teams, so if you have a heart for children around the world and would like to be part of the Columbus Area Team, please Contact Us. Thank you!
